Alessio Vinci
Alessio Vinci is CNN's Rome bureau chief and correspondent. Vinci has reported extensively on the Catholic church and affairs at the Vatican including the death of John Paul II, and the ensuing conclave. Previously he had been based in Belgrade, and has reported from places throughout Europe since joining CNN in 1989.
