Laverne and Shirley....
I have a girlfriend who went as Shirley one year and I was Laverne for Halloween. We walked arm and arm singing, "we're gonnna do it..give us any chance we'll take it...." fun times. _________________ "After all ... tomorrow is another day." --Scarlett |

The Munsters (great guitar ditty)
Sanford And Son (love the giant harmonica)
Andy Griffith
Partridge Family (great pop song)
The Rocky And Bullwinkle Show Outro (manic piece during the parade)
The Fintstones/The Jetsons/Top Cat (swingy horn-blasty genre)
Bonanza (great guitar ditty)
The Dick Van Dyke Show
Dark Shadows (horrible recording - wonder if they'll use it for Johnny Depp redo) |

Hawaii Five-O is a good choice. I clearly recall, as a child, sitting in front of the TV and bawling during the Lassie closing theme song. Regularly. You know the part, with the whistling and Lassie sitting on the hill looking all earnest and her hair blowing around. |

Nelson Riddle's theme for Route 66.
Not Bobby Troup's song, Riddle's show theme. _________________ Socialist ideology is a particular danger that stems from the arrogance and hidden rage of those who, in order to climb up in the world, pretend to be frantic defenders of the helpless so as to have shoulders on which to stand."
